The readings for the Feast of the Holy Family challenge us to listen sensitively to each other; to be prepared to let go of our own desires and to be deeply aware of each other’s thoughts and feelings as we make decisions together. For this, we need to ask the Holy Spirit to open our hearts to the gifts of compassion and understanding, courage and hopefulness.
